Be A Buddy Volunteer
Buddy Volunteer

What is Buddy Program

The Be a Buddy Program is designed to enrich and support Afghan children and teens through recreational, educational, and social experiences. Volunteers help create a welcoming environment where participants can build friendships, develop new skills, and have fun.

Every other Saturday, children and teens from Afghan families are paired with similar-aged local youth in Milwaukee at Hamilton High School. Together, they participate in ESL activities, arts and crafts, sports, games, and other engaging learning experiences. A separate program featuring crafts and story time is available for children ages 3–6.
