Phareda Be is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Human Resources Management. She also completed a Certificate in International Business and Cultures & Community, reflecting her strong interest in global engagement and community-centered work.

Originally from Umphiem Camp, Thailand, she immigrated to the United States at the age of six. Fluent in both English and Burmese, she brings a strong cross-cultural perspective shaped by her lived experiences as a refugee. She is deeply committed to giving back to her community and is passionate about supporting initiatives that foster empowerment, growth, and inclusion. Through her work and advocacy, she strives to uplift underrepresented voices and create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families to thrive.

A lifelong traveler at heart, Phareda dreams of visiting every country in the world and is proudly eight countries in (with many more on the way!). When she’s not planning her next adventure, you can usually find her curled up with a good book. Her all-time favorite read—and a forever recommendation—is As Long As the Lemon Tree Grows by Zoulfa Katouh.
